¡°A Statement for a Nuclear-Free Korean Peninsula¡±
November 6, 2017
His Excellency Donald Trump
President of the United States of America,

Hijacked by terrorists, heavily armed with nuclear weapons, the passengers of the airplane, so called the Republic of Korea(ROK), are now in grave peril. It is quite regrettable to see its captain, who is responsible for their safety, irresponsibly promise to give millions of dollars to the terrorists in the name of humanitarian assistance, and many of the hostages fail to realize the lethal situation they are in.
Today, it is a great honor and pleasure for us to have President Trump in the land where countless young American soldiers shed their blood to rescue us from Korean and Chinese communists¡¯ attempts to enslave us. Now, facing together the ever-increasing threats from North Korea(NK), free citizens in this country who resolve to defend free democracy along with our allies here make clear the points below.
1. We appreciate and whole-heartedly support all diplomatic and military efforts of the U.S. to remove nuclear weapons of NK. We understand that our rescue team has a difficult time to make a critical decision because casualties in its rescue operation are inevitable. We love peace. Yet, we do not have blind faith in peace. We refuse to live in false peace. Authentic peace only comes with denuclearization. No matter how many victims may exist, we would rather live in a country free from nuclear threats.
2. We are against Chinese involvement in the regeneration process of NK after the removal of Kim Jong Un¡¯s regime because China has been a friend of our common enemy, NK. Playing a role of accomplice in NK¡¯s developing nuclear warheads and ICBMs, we believe, China has forfeited the privilege to take a part in the reconstruction of NK.
3. We would not criticize the U.S. government, even if it disregards the Moon Jae-In regime¡¯s post-war treatment of NK. However, we would , if it discounts us. In the long run, we must work together to bring a free democracy and free market system to NK. We are more than willing to cooperate with the U.S. in order to rehabilitate the people in the communist regime, establish human rights, and convert them into independent individual citizens of the global society. Here the interests of the U.S. and Korean patriots coincide.
4. The alliance and friendship between the U.S. and ROK has to be strengthened. We are grateful for the existence of U.S. military forces to keep the peace of this region. We are not against the retention of wartime operational control by Commander of ROK-US Combined Forces Command.
Thank you. God bless America and Korea!
